Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood is adamant that manager Arsene Wenger will have a healthy summer transfer budget.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "Whenever he has asked for money to buy players, he has never been turned down by the Board.
"Yes, Arsene works with a tight budget but it is also a realistic one. He said to me a few years ago that there is no good him spending a whole lot of money and bankrupting the club in the process.
"I just hope he stays even longer than the new contract he signed that will keep him at Arsenal for the next three years.
"The fans love the football we are playing and although we will not win a trophy again this season, we will finish third in the Premier League and we reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
"There are 89 other clubs who would gladly swap places with us!
"He knows he has a supportive board and it is a Board that will never interfere with the way he wants to run the club."
