Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has confirmed they're chasing Everton defender Phil Jagielka.
It emerged last week that the Toffees had rejected a proposal of around £10million for the defender, with reports suggesting they want around £17million.
"We have made a bid for him but they didn't think it was enough," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star. "It is very busy but nothing is actually happening.
"We are trying to buy a few players but it isn't going to happen overnight."
