Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas cannot find any positives from their defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
The Gunners go to Chelsea on Sunday and the Spain midfielder admits they were turned over by the Blues earlier this season.
"I am always realistic," said the 22-year-old Arsenal captain. "I am not going to lie to myself.
"Chelsea were better than us, Manchester United have been better than us. It's something we have to think about and make sure it doesn't happen again.
"It's never a good time to play Chelsea, whether you are nine points clear or nine points behind them. They are a strong side and have been playing together for a long time."
