Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has shut the door on ever joining Real Madrid. In recent seasons Fabregas has won both the World Cup and the European Championship with Spain but has won nothing under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
He said: "Now I ignore my future. My present is at Arsenal but my dream from being a little boy was to play in the first team at Barca.
"Arsenal did everything they could to keep me at the club, especially Arsene Wenger. For me this is important because it has shown that I am wanted by the club.
"The Gunners fans are incredible and unique in their support of players.
"There has been some contact with Real Madrid but I have not changed my opinion. My heart says that if I were to leave Arsenal then it will be for Barcelona."
