Arsenal's defeat at Middlesbrough last night could have been influenced by a wrong turn made while the team were on their way to the Riverside.

The Guardian says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger denied that Arsenal's bus had got badly lost en route to the ground but they arrived little more than an hour before kick-off and several sources confirmed it had been forced into a U-turn after hitting the road to Darlington rather than Middlesbrough.
