Arsenal bracing for bad news on Coquelin injury

Arsenal are fearing that they could lose midfielder Francis Coquelin for a significant period following his latest injury setback.

Coquelin was forced off the Emirates Stadium pitch in the 28th minute against Chelsea following a collision with N'Golo Kante and during the time, it looked like the midfielder was really struggling.

Following the game, manager Arsene Wenger revealed that Coquelin had suffered an injury to his knee and expressed his fear that the Frenchman could be out of action for an extended spell.

Wenger said: "Coquelin has a knee injury in the same place he suffered one against West Brom last year.

"We don't know if the damage is as big. We have to wait for 48 hours, but he left the stadium in a brace, so that's the one negative. I'm a bit worried for that."

Arsenal are hoping to learn more on the Coquelin problem on Monday morning.
