Arsenal boss Wenger won't push Walcott into Burnley action

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is holding back Theo Walcott for today's clash with Burnley.

Wenger is having to temper Walcott's enthusiasm and confirmed the winger will not start against Sean Dyche's side.

"He is not ready yet," said Wenger. "He has been out for too long to start. If I can give him some competition, I am happy to do it.

"He is [chomping at the bit] but that's the period that the patience of the player is tested because they feel ready and they want to play. Usually, they realise much later they are not completely ready.

"I know Theo well and Theo is a very intelligent player. He knows he's not completely there yet."
