Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger cannot rule out selling Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Chelsea.
Chelsea look set to raise their offer for Oxlade-Chamberlain to £40m, having already gone to £35m.
Wenger said the policy of not selling to title rivals was his decision, but added: “After the board has to, of course, agree with me.
“And if they don't agree we have to consider it as well, and I will accept it. But the board is behind me on that."
But in a further hint that policy could be ditched if the price is right Wenger brought up the controversial decision to sell Robin van Persie to Manchester United.
He admitted: “You analyse the age and the money you get. And I don't say I never do it because I did it with Van Persie, when he was at the end of his contract and Man United played good money (£24m)."
