Arsenal boss Wenger will not take England job – Campbell

Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell is confident that Arsene Wenger will not accept an opportunity to manage the England national team.

Following England's exit from Euro2016, Wenger has been heavily linked with the England job and is said to be on the FA's shortlist of candidates to replace Roy Hodgson.

However, ex-Gunners striker Campbell does not believe his old manager will ever step into the role.

"No, I don't think he will (take the England job)," Campbell told Sky Sports News.

"I think he's got a big enough job to do at Arsenal, especially after what happened at the back end of last season.

"There was quite a bit of unrest at the club from the supporters. It was a fantastic opportunity lost, I believe.

"Fair play to Leicester, Leicester won it hands down, but it was the best chance Arsenal had had in many years to bring the Premier League title to the Emirates and it went missing.

"So he is going to have his work cut out this season. He is going to have to make it happen this season."
