Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he expects to be buying in the January market.

Wenger also revealed this morning if they were to lose contract rebels Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal would replace both with players of the same level.

“We have not lost them yet and [if we do] we will respond by bringing in players of top quality," he said.

“We are out there and will look to do some things, yes.

“But when, that is very difficult to say because it does not depend only on us."

Chelsea defender David Luiz has been linked with the Gunners, but Wenger cooled the rumours.

“These reports are wrong," he added.
