Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that his side will not head into the clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend with an aim to wreck Spurs' title aspirations.
Spurs remain in the hunt to claim the Premier League title ahead of the crunch North London derby on Sunday, which is a match full of extra significance due to the fact it will be the last of its kind at the current White Hart Lane site.
Arsenal would surely love to end Tottenham's hopes of winning the title by claiming a victory but Wenger has insisted that his players will not head into the clash with the sole motivation to break the hearts of their local rivals.
Wenger said: "We play for ourselves, not others.
"In life, you work for your own achievements, not for others. What is important is that we go there, try to win the game and focus on our own performance. We do not want to go into any speculation on that.
"Sport is great but you're never happy when others do badly and you do badly. You're happy when you do well."
