Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is pushing Manchester United to include a player in their offer for Thomas Vermaelen. The Daily Express says Wenger is eyeing Phil Jones or Chris Smalling from United in exchange for Vermaelen.
Vermaelen as just a year left on his contract at the Emirates and Wenger is happy to let him go for £10million.
Should United boss Louis Van Gaal consider Jones or Smalling dispensable, a swap deal could be struck.
