Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is determined to beat Manchester United for Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz.
Wenger put the wheels in motion before Barcelona and AC Milan began their pursuits of Emmanuel Adebayor. And he hopes to sign the Blackburn man, irrespective of whether Arsenal can persuade Adebayor to stay with a new contract at the Emirates.
