Arsenal boss Wenger wants Oxlade-Chamberlain to follow Wilshere, Walcott lead

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to follow the example of teammates Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere.

Wenger sees Walcott and Wilshere - who both shot to prominence in their late teens - as the perfect role models as Oxlade-Chamberlain develops into a household name.

"Theo is a good example to copy because he was confronted with fame very early in his career - Jack Wilshere as well - and both of them I think are good examples for Oxlade-Chamberlain," said the Frenchman.

"We have to leave Oxlade-Chamberlain alone because in England sometimes there is a big impatience about upcoming young players.

"I believe that he has a very good example in front of him because Theo Walcott did very well with that."
