Arsene Wenger is eager for Theo Walcott to pen a new deal with Arsenal.

Walcott has yet to commit to Arsenal and will be a free agent next summer, meaning he can talk to clubs in January.

Boss Wenger said: "The longer this situation lasts the more difficult it becomes. I still hope to sign him and the next two months are vital."

The England winger, who has not started a game since contract talks broke down, rejected an Arsenal offer of £75,000 a week.
