Arsenal boss Wenger wants Financial Fair Play introduced

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes UEFA's mooted Financial Fair Play system will bring everything back to an even playing field.

The European governing body want to implement a rule where clubs can only spend what income they generate to rid the sport of overspending by clubs who have rich owners.

Wenger, whose Arsenal always seem to be at the top of the high-earners list in England, feels it would be a great plan to stop clubs simply buying success.

"You should just get the resources you generate, that will determine the real size of the club," he said from a coaches' forum at UEFA's headquarters in Switzerland.

"I personally am a long-time defender of financial fair play because I believe in the strength of purely football."
