Arsenal boss Wenger: Walcott has never demanded positional change

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he's never had a complaint from Theo Walcott over his position.

Winger Walcott has made it no secret he sees himself as a striker long-term.

"He's respectful and we know him well," Wenger told arenal.com. "His desire is to play in the middle and one day he will. He's still running 100m in 11 seconds so it's good to put him out there.

"At the moment first of all I have no midfielders who are comfortable wide: neither Arteta, nor Ramsey are completely really wide players.

"And I would say that Ramsey is more uncomfortable on the flank than Walcott is comfortable inside at the moment."
