Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has paid tribute to Roy Hodgson after Fulham reached the Europa League final this week.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson described the feat as "one of the best British club achievements of all time".
And Wenger said: "Roy has made his side punch above its weight and maybe he is the one who deserves the award.
"He has intelligence, experience and has made good buys.
"He was at Inter Milan, so he's been at big clubs. Some people's careers work in mysterious ways and maybe he's at the best period of his life now."
