Arsenal boss Wenger takes aim at Wales coach Speed

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has questioned Gary Speed's handling of Aaron Ramsey's return to the international fold.

Ramsey had made just one Arsenal start since returning from a horrific leg break when Wales manager Speed started him in the 2-0 defeat against England in March and handed him the captaincy.

"I feel the Welsh period came a bit early for him," said Wenger. "I feel it was a bit too much pressure on him after not being completely ready. He had at that stage to focus on his own shape and all the duties of a captain.

"I think it was a period where he needed more time to focus on his own performance and that he was under too much pressure for that."
