Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Wojciech Szczesny silenced him against Liverpool.

Wenger says that Szczesny proved him wrong with his superb penalty save in Arsenal's 2-1 victory at Liverpool on Saturday.

"Yes, I gave Szczesny a bit of stick and he proved me wrong!" Wenger told Arsenal Player. "He is a boy of exceptional talent and he gave an exceptional performance.

"I believe in him, that's why he plays. He is young, talented and gave a good performance. The target is to give another good performance on Tuesday [against Milan] because we need it again."
