Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he has total confidence in Wojciech Szczesny going into their clash with Manchester United.
Wenger stressed ahead of the return clash at The Emirates today that the 21-year-old Polish international was not at fault with any of the United goals in the 8-2 defeat.
"I talk to him when he concedes a goal and I think he is responsible," said Wenger.
"But at United you wouldn't even consider that he had a chance to save the ball. Every time the ball went into the top corner."
But Wenger was quick to point out that when the occasion demands, he will point out to Szczesny the error of his ways - like at the Liberty Stadium a week ago when a mix-up between him and Laurent Koscielny gave Swansea their winner in a 3-2 defeat.
"But I also have to say that up until now, he has had a good season.
"A goalkeeper who never made a mistake does not exist. Even Pepe Reina made a mistake recently against Manchester City. Him coming through has been a big plus for us. It is good that he has confidence.""He knows that," said Wenger of the young star whose emergence saved him some £15million in the transfer market.
