Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is seeing his reputation lose traction on the continent.
The Daily Star Sunday says Arsenal were hit by another transfer blow with Gonzalo Higuain deciding to snub them and join Juventus instead.
The Gunners were keen to land the Real Madrid misfit and were prepared to offer around £18m.
Juventus, though, bid more than £21m for the Argentina star, who hit 15 goals in 27 league games for Real this season.
Wenger missed out on the likes of Juan Mata and Gary Cahill in recent transfer windows because the club refused to meet the asking price - and that pattern has continued with Higuain.
