Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger can see tactical trends emerging from this year's World Cup.
Wenger believes this one will cement a trend he has detected.
"You will see a structured midfield," he told The Times. "The imperative in modern football is a structured midfield. As football develops more and more into a different game, there is only one player up front and all the rest are interchanging in midfield and trying to bring the danger out from deep.
"That is maybe what we could see in this tournament, that very few teams play with two central strikers and most of them with a very compact midfield. What will be interesting is seeing where the runners come from, who will bring the danger to support the strikers."
