Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is seeking talks with off contract Barcelona defender Lilian Thuram.
The hugely experienced World Cup winner from a decade ago could help the younger defenders at Arsenal - a ploy successfully used by Wenger's rival Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sir Alex signed Laurent Blanc on a short-term deal in 2001 to help his inexperienced players and Rio Ferdinand has gone on record to say how much Blanc assisted him when he went to Old Trafford from Leeds.
