Arsenal boss Wenger says lawyers have no place in football

Lawyers should not be allowed to control football states Arsene Wenger. The Gunners boss reckons Sheffield United and West Ham's court battle over the Carlos Tevez affair sets a dangerous precedent.

The Frenchman told the Sunday Mirror: "All of the clubs should agree not to challenge the rulings of football's governing bodies. In sport we need quick decisions but this has been going on for two years.

"The power has to stay within the game. We cannot have every decision challenged in the civil courts.

"It is better to make footballers rich than lawyers rich."
