Arsenal boss Wenger says January plans held up by Walcott

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says their January market plans are being hindered by Theo Walcott's new contract talks.

Walcott's future has been the subject of much scrutiny but Wenger is hopeful of agreeing a new deal with the England international before turning his attention to other matters.

"We are working very hard," Wenger told Arsenal Player.

"First of all we want to sort out the injuries we have, and we are trying very hard to close the deal with Walcott. Once we have done that, we will certainly do something else. At the moment I cannot tell you more."
