Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced his underfire goalkeepers can prove the critics wrong this season.
Spaniard Manuel Almunia has remained No 1 after Wenger failed with a summer bid for Fulham's Mark Schwarzer.
Asked by shareholders about the quality of the club's stoppers last night, the Gunners boss said: "I'm ready for them to prove you wrong.
"With goals, you usually make five errors but it is always the keeper who gets the blame.
"There was pressure in the summer on the keepers. But we have four great keepers. At the moment Almunia is the No 1 and he has been outstanding."
