Arsenal boss Wenger in row with contract rebel Nasri

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has fallen out with midfielder Samir Nasri, it has been revealed.

The Mirror says Nasri was left brooding at home on Friday as the club travelled to Portugal for a weekend friendly against Benfica.

Skipper Cesc Fabregas was also a dramatic omission from the 19-man squad as he continues to force his move to Barcelona.

The Spain star is not understood to be injured, but Wenger claimed that he had not joined his team-mates because he was not fit to play.

Manchester City are waiting to swoop with a £22million bid for Nasri after a clash between him and Wenger on the club's flight back from a pre-season tour of Asia last week.

Relations between the pair, as a result, are said to be at an all-time low.
