Arsenal boss Wenger revives plans for Liverpool keeper Reina

Arsenal are lining up a shock move for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina. The Daily Express says the Gunners are preparing a sensational move for out-of-favour Liverpool stopper Reina after a move to Napoli fell through.

Reina spent last season on loan with the Serie A club, who were keen to retain the Spaniard's services next season.

But they are not willing to meet Liverpool's asking price for the 31-year-old, who will now return to Anfield.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Reina's, having attempted to sign the Spaniard two years ago - a move which was confirmed by former Arsenal keeper coach Bob Wilson.
