Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains keen on Anzhi midfielder Odil Akhmedov.

The Uzbekistan international revealed the Gunners' interest over the summer and is being made available by Anzhi for the January market.

Izvestia says Wenger is hopeful of signing Akhmedov, but intermediaries have warned Anzhi they must drop their asking price to see a deal done.
