Arsenal boss Wenger reluctant to buy new striker

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he doesn't need to buy a new striker in January.

He said: "We have players like Carlos Vela awaiting his chance. He is nearly ready. I think he needs to understand the aggression of the Premier League.

"Eduardo was just getting into his stride when he was injured. It takes time. He was making that step.

"It is quite strange when you look at our strikers and say we don't score goals, yet when you look at the table we score more than Manchester United and Liverpool."
