Arsenal boss Wenger rejects Juventus approach

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rejected an approach from Juventus. The Daily Star Sunday says the Serie A side are the latest big name to fail with a bid to lure the Frenchman away from Arsenal following hot on the heels of Spanish rivals Real Madrid.

At an AGM last weekend in Turin Juventus decided to sack coach Claudio Ranieri and earmarked Wenger as the man they wanted to replace the former Chelsea manager.

The Serie A side were ready to make the Gunners boss the highest-paid coach on the planet - and informed Wenger's representatives of their proposal.

But Wenger's response was the same "thanks, but no thanks" rejection that he delivered to Real Madrid last month.
