Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels Bayern Munich have gone backwards this season.

Wenger regards Real Madrid as Champions League favourites.

"The previous season, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben played a lot together and they were both in good shape. Bayern Munich's attack was very strong.

"This season the team still has a lot of possession, but I think they are less dangerous. I think everybody could see that during our home game against the Germans. Though we helped them, they did not create much," said Wenger.

He added: "At the moment everything runs smoothly at Real Madrid. If you ask me, this is the team that are now favourites, though everything is in the balance."
