Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is happy seeing Emmanuel Adebayor succeed at Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old made a flying start to life in the Spanish capital with two goals in three appearances. Wenger believes that is just the beginning of a move that will be hugely beneficial to both parties.
"Adebayor didn't play anymore [at Manchester City], he is a talented player and it's a waste for him not to play," the manager told arsenal.com.
"It is a good decision from Adebayor and a good decision from Real Madrid in my opinion.
"Adebayor needs to gain confidence again and to play at his best because he was going nowhere at Manchester City. Both [Adebayor and Real Madrid] can be winners.
"They need somebody with presence, who is good in the air, who can push over the defenders. The characteristics of Adebayor are exactly what Real Madrid need."
