Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to talk down Swansea's price for Ashley Williams.

The Mirror says Williams is keen but Swansea appeared to have priced him out of a switch by putting a £10million price on his head.

Swansea may now let him go for £8.5million if it is to a top club. Arsenal are short of cover with Thomas Vermaelen and Nacho Monreal both out injured for the start of the season.
