Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to make three new signings this week.
The Telegraph says Arsenal are poised to complete the £12 million signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton and also hope to confirm two further additions to their squad this week.
As well as Oxlade-Chamberlain, they are close to signing Joel Campbell as a replacement for Nicklas Bendtner, while Wenger remains determined to add one more centre-back.
The need for a new defender has been further heightened by injuries during their final pre-season friendly of the summer against Benfica on Saturday to both Kieran Gibbs and Thomas Vermaelen.
