Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says the intensity of the Premiership is still a shock for new foreign signings.
"Every time you play, you think you are playing for your life," said Wenger. "Players feel that. Look now, after 28 games, and you have so many teams fighting to stay in the League. Everybody from 10th to 20th can go down. Everybody. That increases the pressure."
Wenger says the physical intensity of English football still surprises new foreign arrivals from overseas.
"They have been told the Premier League is tough physically but I tell them to be careful. They think they know but they are surprised by the consistent physical demands and the potential of every single player in the League.
"When they move away to another league they will tell you it is so easy now. You have time to control the ball, to pass, to look around, to say hello to someone in the stands."
