Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised Robin van Persie for giving his penalty to Emmanuel Adebayor in Saturday's 4-0 win at Blackburn.

Adebayor was handed his third goal from the penalty spot when Van Persie stood aside from his usual spot-kick duties.

"I like the fact that Van Persie gave him the penalty," said Wenger.

"I believe this shows that the team has a collective spirit and everybody can score."
