Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised Malky Mackay for holding his nerve at Cardiff City.

Wenger feels for his opposite number in having to deal with owner Vincent Tan's eccentricities.

Wenger said: "I have sympathy because you know that a manager has enough problems. When you have to fight for your responsibilities and power it makes the job even more difficult. I am conscious that I can work how I want here."
