Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is considering reviving a deal for Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien.
Essien has been on-loan at Real Madrid, but the move hasn't worked out and he is currently in London recovering from a mystery illness.
Wenger is desperate to add experience to his squad in January and the Mirror says he was offered Essien in August.
