Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up a surprise move for Lille striker Salomon Kalou.
The Daily Star says the French club have dropped their asking price to £3m.
Wenger told the Ivory Coast star he would have signed him had he not snapped up Chilean ace Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
But Kalou still hopes the Frenchman will make a move for him at the lower price after turning down offers from Roma and clubs in Qatar and the UAE.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also weighing up a move, while Galatasaray or Fenerbahce in Turkey are keen on landing the 29-year-old striker.
