Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Mesut Ozil WILL outshine Chelsea star Eden Hazard this season.

Hazard finished last term with two Player of the Year gongs.

Wenger said: "I said when he arrived Ozil could be the player of the year. This year he will be.

"He's a different player. What I think is that he shows more authority to dictate the game than before. He is physically stronger, that is for sure, and he is more equipped to deal with the Premier League.

"And in the second part of the season we saw the intelligence of his passing.

"The fact that he added some steel to his game that was needed - certainly in the Premier League. I'm confident that he can be one of the great players of 2015/16.

"What more do you want from him? More goals because he plays in that position and he is a good finisher.

"But he doesn't take enough chances when he is in the position where he can finish.

"He is conscious of it and wants to do it now so I am confident in that.

"But his main aspect will always be in the intelligence of his passing and his creativity. I believe he is in positions where he can finish better and we want 10 goals from him this season.

"I see him as a player who can turn games, likes Hazard. He is one of them.

"He plays in the heart of the game and plays in the final third so you want these type of guys.

"They have an importance and can be efficient to help you to score goals.

"We have a few guys who are creative - Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, even Aaron Ramsey. They are creative players.

"Ozil looks happy. London transforms people. I believe at the start, people who come from outside London feel a bit of a shock.

"London slowly gets people with the charm of the city and I have seen that many times. They start to really enjoy living in London."
