Arsenal boss Wenger orders Van Persie to join overseas tour squad

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will order Robin van Persie on their overseas preseason tour.

The Holland hitman, 28, will be hauled on the gruelling 17,000-mile round-trip to Malaysia, China and Hong Kong BEFORE any transfer is sanctioned.

"Arsene did it with Samir Nasri last season on the Asia tour before he joined (Manchester) City and he has every right to do it again this time around with Robin," an Emirates source told the Daily Star Sunday.

"While any negotiations are ongoing, Robin remains an Arsenal player and, as such, he is expected to fulfil his obligations to his employers.

"He has shown Arsenal no respect and he shouldn't expect any in return.

"Robin has left the club shell-shocked by his decision. No one saw this coming."
