Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he knew all about Cesc Fabregas' trip to Barcelona in midweek.

Cesc watched Barca defeat Rangers 2-0 at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night and his presence sparked a fresh round of transfer speculation for the Spaniard.

"This is no story," Wenger said. "Fabregas is under contract with us. If Barcelona want to buy any player under contract then I'll give them my phone number. But I think they have it because they just bought Thierry Henry."

"Still would you be open to an offer?" enquired a journalist.

"No chance," Wenger replied.
