Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger isn't surprised to see Bordeaux and Lyon in the Champions League quarterfinals.
Wenger asserted his belief that French clubs are enjoying a revival and explained why he thinks that has been the case.
"They are going upwards," he told arsenal.com. "They have not completely yet joined England in my opinion, or Spain. But they are on their way up and the league is better than it was three years ago.
"They have injected a lot of money. The TV money has gone up a lot in the last three years and they have some tax advantages that they have created for football. That allows them to pay much more money and they get better foreign players."
