Arsenal boss Wenger no fan of January market

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he's not a fan of the January transfer window.

The Frenchman is being urged to sign a new striker this month.

Wenger said: "At the moment I believe we have no shortage unless some other big injuries [happen]. That's why it's important just to continue to focus on our performances and our next game.

"The transfer market is a distraction that, for me, is not welcome. I think it would be much better if there was no transfer market at all in January and teams started and finished with the same players. [That] would be fair unless you have big injuries.

"For the rest, what is important is that we focus on the quality of our performances because this period is very sensitive and every game is now massive."
