Arsenal have joined the battle for Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez.
The Sunday Express says there have been reports that Sanchez could be included as part of a deal that would send Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
But it now seems that Arsene Wenger could now beat Brendan Rodgers to the punch.
The Gunners manager is understood to have met with Sanchez's agent while on media duties in Brazil.
While a fee is not currently being reported, there can be little doubt that any money Barcelona receive for Sanchez could help meet Liverpool's reported £80m asking price for Suarez.
