Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in regular touch with Aaron Ramsey.

The Wales international is set for a long rehabilitation after suffering a double leg fracture in a challenge with Stoke's Ryan Shawcross.

Wenger understands it can be difficult for the 19-year-old to stay focused.

"When you are flying on the pitch and then suddenly you are lying on the bed, you can only be bored," said the Arsenal manager.

"Aaron is confident that he will come back. He is determined, but at the moment it is a problem of patience, and when you are 19 years old, patience is not your first quality."
