Arsenal boss Wenger: Ljungberg perfect for MLS

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Freddie Ljungberg belongs in MLS. The former Arsenal midfielder made his MLS debut for Seattle Sounders last weekend in their 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake.

The Swede came on in the 61st minute for Steve Zakuani, a former Arsenal trainee, and took up an unfamiliar role in central midfield.

"I always thought Freddie might end up in America," Wenger told "It suits him well.

"He is Hollywood. He is a free-spirit and a creative. He is an artist and an art-lover. We all remember his red hair while he was here and I think he will do very well over there."
