Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has likened fit-again Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard.
Wenger sees the Ox's long-term position in centre midfield.
The Gunners chief said: "He has a good opportunity. He will be in Roy Hodgson's plans because he can play down the middle and out wide. And England don't have too many options like that.
"He scored a great goal against Brazil and had a big impact in that game, especially in central midfield.
"His future will be in that position or even deeper because he can play a good long ball and can penetrate the opposition from deep.
"He can distribute the ball well and can get forward with the ball on his own. In short, he has similar qualities to Steven Gerrard and I see him playing that way for Arsenal.
"At the moment he is still learning his craft but once he reaches the age of 23 or 24 he will settle into a regular position."
